Easy ride out to A1 toward north and Belgium , some traffic and trafic light for cars to stop. Picked up in 20 with a cardboard that said A1. Should be easy to get north once you are on a highway stop

There is a lot of traffic, but the traffic light is really fast. The people are not very nice and don’t easily give rides to strangers. However, some people are kind and might offer you a lift."

I didn't enjoy hitching there, but you can't argue the results. I stood after the pedestrian crossing to stand out from the crowd, but I gues you could go before and ask the drivers waiting on the red light. I had sign "A10".

Attente inexistante. Plein de gens sortaient de la boutique. Le premier couple à qui j’ai demandé m’a pris!

Not to much traffic, plenty of space to stop. Got a direct ride to Paris.

A guy and a girl without a sign. We got there quite late, at 11.30pm, and tried to get to "Aire de Limours/Briis sous forge" south of Paris from here.
Did not work at all : some people were trying to help us, but only went to morth-east of Paris, and there was no one there after 1am so we went to sleep. The staff was very friendly and offered us some pain au chocolat and hot chocolate because the machine didn't work well for us, and we could set the tent at the back of the restplace without anyone bothering us at all. In the morning we waited one more hour before somebody took us to Saint-Denis' train station, as everybody else ignored us.

It takes a long time to get to the station, we walked 35 min from Sarges Les Le Mans after 20min of bus from Le Mans trainstation but this spot is perfect ! A really big station si it was quite intimidating to ask people at first but the third person we asked took us and even brang us to the train station ( not on their road). It is hard to access but it’s worth the walk

You can take a bus and like 20 minutes walking and you are there. Best way to go directly to Roun or Caen

Had a sign "Paris". It's not a huge service station but there's some traffic.

good spot for paris, great spot for north east in the summer. many cars were full, loads of benelux and german license plates from homecoming holiday go-ers, if you are looking for a ride to paris, better to hunt down plates with 75 than to stand at the entrance to the petrol station. if talking to french drivers ask for direction paris as opposed to paris itself, they might be more likely to give a ride. we saw other hitchers here but they ignored us.

If you want to get on the A13 towards Normandie this is the only good spot. Stand on the sidewalk and hold a sign saying A13. Cars can stop on the right lane or drive off the road next to the parking garage.

Took us to champs-élysées. Good spot to go into the city, just ask around cars stopping to get gas and look for 75 license plates. 20min wait.

Not incredible but not that bad for a spot to exit a big city. But we’ve been super lucky and have been taken after 1h by a Flixbus straight to Paris !!!

The first car who stopped took me to Aire de Lisses

It seemed to be the best spot (under the bridge bus stop). Waited 2h till someone picked me up and went to Lille. Lots of homeless people around the place.

Standing there (2 people) with a sign over an hour, and many who stopped went only a very short distance until one was willing to take us to the Aire des Ferrières.

Free toilets (thank you, France) and a busy gas station with lots of traffic to Lille and Paris. Look out for cars with the numbers 75 for Paris proper or 91/92/93/94/95 for the suburbs. Found a ride to St-Denis in less than half an hour. Generally really helpful and friendly folks there.
